Workcamp kicked off with a worship service and commissioning of the workcampers from First English.
Matthew 22:37-40
(Jesus) said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Day 1 of Workcamp 2026 is officially underway! 💙🔨

Today, we were excited to welcome youth groups from 13 states and Canada to Grosse Pointe Woods for an incredible week of serving others. Throughout the day, campers arrived, got settled into their rooms, met new friends, and prepared for the week ahead.
The afternoon concluded with our Opening Program, where the energy, excitement, and shared purpose filled the room. Together, we began a week centered on faith, service, and making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Please continue to keep all of our campers, Red Shirts, adult leaders, homeowners, and volunteers in your prayers as Workcamp 2026 continues!
